How it Works: This deposit reserves a pig. Final payment is for the live weight of the animal only. Deliveries are made to Harris Meats and Processing in Monterey, TN. Ready in August and September. Whole hogs typically weigh approximately 250–300 lbs. This is our first time targeting specific weights for resale, so we strive for accuracy while accounting for natural variations. Butcher costs — starting around $170 for basic processing for a 250lb Pig — are paid directly to the processor. Additional options like curing, sausage, etc., cost extra; please contact the butcher for exact pricing. Expect approximately 35–45% weight loss after butchering, depending on your choice of cuts and lard rendering.

Our family began homesteading in 2018 with a simple goal — to raise good food, and build a life centered around family. What started with a garden has grown into pigs, a milk cow, honey bees, and chickens, with each year teaching us more about the land and the responsibility of caring for it.
Farming quickly became more than a hobby. It became something we truly love. In 2026, we are taking the next step and growing this homestead towards a full-time family farm.
